There are 3 different body types: Endomorph, Mesomorph, and Ectomorph.
These are the 3 body types that people are predetermined to have, and they relate to your overall body composition. Genetics play a substantial role in body types, especially in ectomorphs and mesomorphs. These body types effect your physique, metabolism, and athletic performance.
Endomorph : Shapely physique with a larger frame and more overall body fat. Gains fat quickly and loses it slow. Slower metabolism.
Mesomorph : Athletic build with a medium frame and naturally muscular. Usually the bone structure of the shoulders are wider than the hips. Has an efficient metabolism. Mass gain a loss both happen easily.
Ectomorph : Very thin and slender. Has a small frame and little body mass. Smaller muscles and a naturally fast metabolism. Has a hard time gaining body mass.
